>...do you suppose that the blanket term 'drunk driving' has some intrinsic
value?

You used the terms "flat-out drunk" and "soundly drunk", hardly terms I
would quote with being in a fit state to drive a car.

>look into the differences between people, genetic reactions, etc. i
drink on a regular basis...and others never drink. i can have 4 coronas and
literally feel nothing. cross that with my excessive notion of caution and
a high IQ and i'll guarantee you that i am from 2 to 20 times safer driving
"legally drunk" on 2 -10 beers that some moronic soccer mom with her cell
phone or an unlicenced, untrained illegal mexican, stupid person, or an 18
yr old non-drinker with 3 beers in them. it is far from a simple question
of alcohol quantity.

Just becuase you don't feel that your judgement/reflexes are impaired,
doesn't mean that they aren't.

The above is all highly subjective. How about an vaguely
scientific/objective test?

Pick a video game requiring some reflexes and judgement (ideally a
driving/racing game).
Play a statistically significant number of games and note the scores.
Drink 10 beers.
Play the same number of games and note the scores.
Compare the scores before and after.
Post the results here.

Obviously this requires that you play as well as you can in both cases.

>if i should deserve the harsh punishment a dui charge
brings, i think 90% of women, most asians and dumb people with cell-phones
and burgers in hand should receive the same.

So are you saying that 90% of Asians and women can't drive adequately? I
don't expect that position would make you too many friends.

>the simple fact that i was
able to drive about 30 blocks with no one else on the road and a cop 15 feet
off my ass proves my point.

Being able to "drive about 30 blocks with no one else on the road and a cop
15 feet
off my ass" doesn't mean that you could respond adequately in an emergency.

>so direct your righteous and vindictive mindset
elsewhere. i've had one ticket in the past 14 years...go figure.

You bought up the topic of drink driving in the first place, why did you
post if you didn't want a response?

Dr Sebby

I hate to break the party mood, but don't you think drink driving is
irresponsible?

I have no sympathy for anyone that gets caught.
