I think you ask for an impossibility. If the experience was truly "outside
of his means of classification", would that not imply that he *didn't*
classify it? And if, in fact, it's not classified, then how is he supposed
to know he had it?
In short, while it's conceivable that he's had such an experience, he can
not, by definition, be aware of having had said experience.
