As to the book of Mormon, I found a copy online at

and while I did start, I ran into the same problem that I had with the
Torah -- namely, the book is so fucking boring that I can't keep my
attention on it!

Really? Your Christian upbringing must have been terrible then... even in
my household, we have a "family" edition of the entire bible, as well as an
illustrated guide to the stories of the Old Testimate. So much of our
culture depends on those stories.

(aside: the book itself, while it *can* be "fact", is probably not what you
intended to say. What you meant was that you consider the *contents* of
the book to be "fact", i.e. the model of the world which the book
constructs has a relationship to the world which you call "true")
