virus: Synthesis website and elist

This is taking so long that I decided not to wait any
longer, but invite virus members in now, because at
least there's some stuff there that might be of
interest to them, though there's a great deal more to
be added yet.

So, please visit http://www.faichney.org/synthesis/ and
let me know what you think, either on this list, or on
the new synthesis list, or by private email. The style
is deliberately minimalist, and I'm not really looking
for any comments on that right now, just the contents.
Though you may find they take some digesting! :-)
