I'm with you, but you've got to admit the fundamental problem with
belief systems is why *they* can't see *your* point. Atheists can't see
why theists believe in God, theists can't see why atheists refute God,
Brodie can't see why people don't appreciate the three levels, Wade
can't see why people don't recognize it's just parlor-talk ....

What's to differentiate memetics from everything else that's refutable?
Perhaps it's one of the few tools to recognize itself for what it is : a
tool.

When was the last time a religious book started out with : OK, we're
just another faith-based belief system, but ....
