[Blunderov] Bush exits. I have, so to speak, no more shoes left to throw.

[letheomaniac] I saw some fantastic footage on the news this morning of a group of people in the middle east somewhere all flinging shoes at a gigantic poster of G.W.B who had an enormous bootprint photoshopped over his face. Throw an extra pair for me guys!

Only two things seriously marred the day. One was that Bush was not in irons, and two was that nothing happened to the helicopter taking him out of town. After all, "Presidential helicopter $500 million. Cheney & Bush together $0.02. Presidential helicopter with Cheney and Bush on board going down in flames, priceless. Some things money can't buy, but that does not include politicians."

PS did you hear Obama include non-believers in his litany :-)

With or without religion, you would have good people doing good things and evil people doing evil things. But for good people to do evil things, that takes religion. - Steven Weinberg, 1999

I am a bit surprised that Bush and Cheney didn't do a self-pardoning musical chairs act. Indeed both of them have publicly taken responsibility for decisions resulting in torture (however they refuse to call it torture). I suppose they must have convinced themselves that they need no pardon. It certainly has put the Obama administration and justice department in an interesting political situation. I'll be staying tuned to see whether they do their jobs on this one.

Yes I did. Obama's support of Bush's Faith Based Initiatives is certainly in violation of the constitutional separation of chuch and state, however his inclusive rhetoric towards non-believers impresses me. He does that from time to time.
