Natalie Dylan Auctions Off Virginity For Offers Of Up To $3.7 Million
Source: Huffington Post Authors: Not Credited Dated: 2009-01-14
[ Hermit : I hope she has insured her asset against accidental breakage and spoilage. Certainly I wish her all the best.]
Bidding in the auction for the virginity of Natalie Dylan, a 22-year-old student from San Diego, Calif., has reached absurd new highs. The Daily Telegraph has the story, saying that the price has now hit $3.7 million:
Last September, when her auction came to light, she had received bids up to £162,000 ($243,000) but since then interest in her has rocketed.
The student who has a degree in Women's Studies insisted she was not demeaning herself.
Natalie Dylan has appeared on the Howard Stern show and is conducting this transaction through Nevada's Bunny Ranch brothel. Natalie Dylan photos are readily available online and are, unsurprisingly, a popular search term.

She's cute enough, I might spend/waste $37 or so on a date with her. Anybody bidding more than that is crazy. If she were a quality slut she might be worth a solid $40 on a good day to me. But then I'm pretty cheap that way.

I'd be interested to know what constitutes virginity and how would they medically verify it. At prices like these, there's no way lawyers aren't involved . . . oh wait, these really ARE foolish people bidding, so who knows?
Reminds me of those Muslim martyrs looking forward to a thousand virgins. If they actually knew what they were talking about they'd beg for a thousand sluts instead. That's how I know them for the ignorant dupes they are.

You just reminded me of a Conan The Barbarian comic I read oh, probably, honestly 20 or more years ago(?) but it was such an awesome panel that it stuck with me. Conan performs some whatever service for a whoever kingdom. And in return they present him with feast, fancy and... virgin(s). And Conan says: "Bring me a whore. Virgins are boring."

[letheomaniac] I have always wondered whether the martyrs mentioned by Mo have the foresight to enagage their higher power in some discussion as to the gender of the unfortunate virgins. It would certainly be a tragedy to martyr one's self and then to reach Paradise only to discover that the promised virgins are all of a sort generally not all that appealing to your average heterosexual suicide bomber!

Dear letheomaniac,
I'm not entirely certain that all of the conclusions drawn here are supportable. "A woman for duty, a camel for relief and a boy for pleasure," is a very ancient Persian saying. There are echoes of it in, for example,
Said the mythical King of Algiers To his harem assembled, "My dears. Please don't think it odd of me, I'm tired of sodomy, Tonight's for you ladies." Loud cheers.
Then up spoke the King of Siam, For women I give not a damn, The quintessence of joy, Is a soft bottomed boy, They call me a bugger, I am!
While the evening might not be replete without adding:
There was once a queer of Khartoum, Took a lesbian up to his room; The spent the whole night, Involved in a fight, Over who would do what, and to whom!
Do not forget that Aisha bint Abu Bakr, Muhammad's favorite wife was 9 when she married him and "still played with her toys" after the wedding. At that age we can assume that there might not have been a whole lot to differentiate her from her brothers. It seems Muhammad did not mind, so why should his followers be left, excuse the expression, behind?. Of course, this is not solely an Islamic issue. For example, we might mention Goethe's sensible take on the subject, "After due consideration, I find that while I like young boys I prefer young girls. For after all, if one tires of using girls in the one way, you can always turn them over and use them the other." and infer from this the idea that like the Greek Philosophers who we still refer to as great, or the very delightful 2nd Lord of Rochester (note particularly song V), the great Goethe was not terribly fussy about the sex - or age - of his lovers - issues which appear to be a very modern and peculiarly Western obsession.

Uh oh! We may need to use the therapy puppets to make it through this conversation.
hmmm, I guess I'm gonna have to give the thumbs down on buggering children. I've got that whole adult consent issue going on. Frankly I prefer them over twenty-one so I won't have any issues about taking them to a bar, or giving them alcohol. I know they're legal at 18, but I'd rather they got some experience first. I suppose I call it my drunken sluts standard. You can take the virgins, just leave the drunken sluts to me.

True. There are often reasons unrelated to religion why virgins are virgins. Perhaps they've been disfigured etc. or simply lack libido, any of which could take the stiffy out of the staff.

[Hermit] Hadn't noticed that the Mermaid had pulled a drive-by humorless harpy act here.
[Mermaid] hermit..in the ten something years i have known you, i have heard the goethe quote at least a dozen times. it gets less and less funny with time. i dont know what 'sensible' about 'goethe's take' on buggering little girls.
[Hermit] Irrespective of sex, the conclusion that girls are more fun than boys is a sensible one. Goethe's conclusion that two holes, more if you are into oral or nasal sex, are better than one is indubitably supportable. While I recognize that some prefer old women - or men - to young girls or boys, young tends to be more supple and better lubricated, so I'd judge that as a supportable conclusion too.
[Hermit] For Mo - notice that Goethe didn't say children, neither did he say small. Although small implies tight and for many people tight is preferred. Speaking of tight, after sufficient alcohol I think that whole consent thing also becomes a bit iffy. So I'd suggest sticking with tight as in not loose. And if you agree, why then, Goethe scores again.
[Hermit] As for Mermaid's claim of hearing the quote an average of significantly more than once a year, while I really doubt she can sustain her assertion, the quote certainly serves the purpose of reminding people that the whole idea of what is and is not acceptable and respectable is simply a matter of social prejudice. Whether the prejudice is based in class, in location, in dress, in color, in sex, in orifice, in religion, in age or in something else entirely, there is nothing we apes like more than making up rules about sex and trying to enforce them on others. Especially the Mother Grundies amongst us. None-the-less, pretending that these rules are "laws of nature" for all people and all times is quite silly; and showing that people we still regard as "great," and Goethe indubitably falls into that category, didn't conform to our stereotypes - or indeed any others - is undoubtedly salutary.
[Hermit] Which is why people will no doubt hear me quote it again, just as they will hear me talk about Kore (which means 'young girl') or Persephone as she is better known; and rape and sex and other wonders from the classics - if we all stick around long enough. Even if people only find it amusing the first time they hear it, their pathetic humorless state might be ameliorated by it. In the meantime, the CoV tries hard to please, so here is a picture of an ancient girl, for those into such things, to drool over. And it brings a smile to your face we'll try to find some more.

I find myself puzzled. The Avatar names woulds lead me to a different conclusion then the posts might suggest.
Mermaid = eroticism, lustful sailors and desire
Hermit = an abstinent recluse devoid of the earthly pleasure, since humanity has been pushed aside.
Yet the 'Fair Maiden' objects and the 'Recluse' is passionately embracing the penetration of all earthly adventures.
Per MO's suggestion I have tried the hand puppets, but I must say that Hermits proclamations, in their breadth, seem more compelling.
Plus Goethe, like all good things, can be consumed in excess.
Finally; experienced and self assured, would be my preference in all things, including lust; Virginity holds little appeal let alone at a price.
Cheers
Fritz

BTW Goethe liked them tight too. My 3rd favorite Goethe quote (after the above and "The gods themselves wrestle in vain with stupidity" and before many others) remains his diary entry after being entertained by a very generous (in every way) Venetian lady."O Venice, O Venice, what a wonderful city you would be, if only your canals were as generously proportioned as your cunts, and if only your girls had cunts as close and tight as your mean little alleys."

I admit to having actually met both Hermit and family and Mermaid and family "In Real Life" one weekend in Iowa in 2003. It was a great time.

It wasn't really a suggestion, I was just ducking Mermaid's and Hermit's brief flameup. I wasn't actually expressing any opinion on Goeth.
Carry on with the alcoholic sluts.

Mo dear, flames? Flames nothing! I hadn't even noticed this until you drew my attention to it, and even then it received no more that a mere friendly flash of the pilot light to remind the fishy bint that we are still here and paying attention. Gratuitous nail rakings are dealt with a little differently to frontal assaults but a lack of response to the former often leads to the latter. Given how messy that can get when harpies are involved, it seemed better to lance the boil she seemed to be developing on her butt-in, in the formative stages.
Kind Regards
Hermit
PS Fritz, sorry for the delayed response. We are completely overwhelmed. But not all Hermits meet the recluse stereotype. "The Hermit" is a name for the Virtual Realms (chosen when, after an extended absence my previous "handle" was lost), and derives, from the Tarot Hermit (who has absorbed the lessons of life to the point where the Hermit is the lesson), to an extent from the Viking Tarot (Where the Hermit is Heimdall living at the edge of Asgard, standing ready with Gjallarhorn watching for the signs of the coming of Ragnarok) and also from Al Liber Legis: The Book of the Law (and I have no time any of these except as works of art) ... (I.40) For there are therein Three Grades, the Hermit, and the Lover, and the man of Earth. Do what thou wilt shall be the whole of the Law ... (I.50) Behold! there are three ordeals in one, and it may be given in three ways. The gross must pass through fire; let the fine be tried in intellect, and the lofty chosen ones in the highest. Thus ye have star & star, system & system; let not one know well the other! ... (II.24). Behold! these be grave mysteries; for there are also of my friends who be hermits. Now think not to find them in the forest or on the mountain; but in beds of purple, caressed by magnificent beasts of women with large limbs, and fire and light in their eyes, and masses of flaming hair about them; there shall ye find them. Ye shall see them at rule, at victorious armies, at all the joy; and there shall be in them a joy a million times greater than this. Beware lest any force another, King against King! Love one another with burning hearts; on the low men trample in the fierce lust of your pride, in the day of your wrath.
Borrowed from the Aeclectic Tarot
THE HERMIT
Basic Card Symbols
A robed man or monk carrying a lantern. A barren landscape.
Basic Tarot Story
After a long and busy lifetime, building, creating, loving, hating, fighting, compromising, failing, succeeding, the Fool feels a profound need to retreat. In a small, rustic home deep in the woods, he hides, reading, cleaning, organizing, resting or just thinking. But every night at dusk he heads out, traveling across the bare, autumnal landscape. He carries only a staff and a lantern.
It is during these restless walks from dusk till dawn, peering at and examining whatever takes his fancy, that he sees and realizes things he's missed, about himself and the world. It is as if the secret corners in his head were being slowly illuminated; corners he never knew existed. In a way, he has become the Fool again; as in the beginning, he goes wherever inspiration leads him. But as the Fool, his staff rested on his shoulder, carrying unseen his pack. The Fool was like the pack, whatever it was he could be was wrapped up, unknown. The Hermit's staff leans out before him, not behind. And it carries a lantern, not a pack. The Hermit is like the lantern, illuminated from within by all he is.
Basic Tarot Meaning
Represented by Virgo, the Hermit is a card of introspection, analysis and, well, virginity. This is not a time for socializing; the card indicates, instead, a desire for peace and solitude. Nor is it a time for action, discussion or decisions. It is a time to think, organize, ruminate, and take stock. There may be feelings of frustration and discontent during this time of withdrawal. But such times lead to enlightenment, illumination, clarity.
In regards to people, the Hermit represents a wise, inspirational person, friend, teacher, therapist, someone the Querent usually sees alone, someone the rest of the Querent's friends and family may not know about. This a person who can shine a light on things that were previously mysterious and confusing. They will help the Querent find what it is they are seeking.
Thirteen's Observations
One of the important things about this card is that the Hermit is always shown on the move. He's never locked away in his reclusive cell, he's always out wandering, searching. That, to me, is a Virgo. I'm married to one, I know. The Hermit is the restless mind of the Virgo, always gathering information, analyzing, making connections. Virgos are skeptics, and if anyone is going to stick a lantern into a dark place and take a good look at what's going on, it is a Virgo.
The Hermit is a card of connections and enlightenment. Combined with a desire to just "be alone," the Querent who gets this card is probably feeling impatient with people who disturb their peace or who can't see what they're seeing ("Are you blind?" might be their refrain, or, more typically, "You just don't get it, and I can't explain it to you."). In typical Virgo fashion, they're likely to be grumpy and anti-social. But for the Querent (if no one else!) this is a special time. Like an artist who hides for days then emerges to paint a masterpiece, this quiet time allows all the pieces to fall into place. So go ahead and encourage them to go on late night drives, long walks, hide in their room or go on retreat for a month. When they come back, they'll see everything in a brand new light. It'll be the best thing for them, and for everyone else in their lives.
Tarot card from the Rider-Waite tarot deck, also known as the Rider-Waite-Smith deck.
