Woman 'blessed by the holy toast' http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/americas/4019295.stm
A Florida woman put the sandwich up for sale, saying it has brought her great luck since she found it 10 years ago. <snip>
The snack has attracted a bid - thought to be a hoax - of $99.9m.
Diana Duyser, 52, of Hollywood, Florida, set a starting price of $3,000, and pleaded with people not to post hoax bids. <snip>
"I made this sandwich 10 years ago. When I took a bite out of it, I saw a face looking up at me - it was Virgin Mary starring (sic) back at me. I was in total shock," she explained.

Bless us oh Lord and this thy toast for which we are about to receive from thy bounty through Christ, our Lord Amen.
Now, pass the jelly please.
I'm hungry.

That's a good one. Very amusing.
Questions remain, though: - As a sandwich, what was on it? Maybe it wasn't the toast after all... (The more scientific question, which I am not trying to promote here, what hallucinogenic substance were these ingredients contaminated with?) - As a sandwich, how does it look like after TEN YEARS? How did the woman preserve - especially in the decomposition-friendly climate of Florida? - As a sandwich, which has now become some sort of holy relic, is it appropriate to keep it in a church's sanctum like most other relics, or will it suffice to bless the fridge?
Arrrh.

p.s.: Hoax or not, who would bid for a sandwich anyway?
