How do you know I support Kerry anyway? Surely as an anti-american I

The fact is, that a lot of people are sick of the posts, and it drives people away from the CoV.  You're hurting the CoV by keeping this up... that is the problem.

I agree these political posts are as a class divisive and harmful to the CoV
but to blame Joe for them is not fair.

There are very much two sides to this problem. On the one side are several
CoV members who share a political outlook all posting an occasional screed
that support their worldview or political opinions. On the other is Joe who
is battling nearly alone on the pro-US side. This makes it appear as though
Joe is pumping out way more than the average, but it is simply because he is
outnumbered.

If we agree that these debates are unseemly, lets keep them hidden in the
Serious Business section and keep the good stuff for our highly visible and
Google indexed mailing list.

Kind regards

Jonathan

Well, less people are probably tired of that since the majority of the people on the list are anti-Bush. (Last poll)

Then again, there's no point in posting pro-Bush propaganda to a list of people who are *already* pro-Bush.

I think the jibjab.com video sums up my feelings...

Joe keeps posting over and over.  Even in the middle of philisophical and memetic debates.

I will admit, guiltily, to arguing with him in the past and spurring him to new heights...

But, I stopped reading his posts about a month ago.  Since then, I've mostly stayed on-topic.

It is a problem of Joe being out-numbered, I will admit that.  Although still, he posts more than anyone else by far on the war topic.  And yes, I too sometimes wont hold back and will help fan the flames... but it's really sickening to see 3/4 of the topics by Joe Dees... and 3/4s of them being pro-Bush.  I remember when Joe used to post things that were relative to the list, but it has been a couple years since that time.

Is there any possibility that you can somehow jump back into time and start pumping out those great posts you used to make that everyone knows and loves?  It would most definately be a nice change around here.  Perhaps you can start helping the CoV out instead of harming it?  That'd be nice!  How 'bout it Joe.  I think almost all of us... pro-Bush or anti-Bush can afree that we miss the 'Old Joe.'
