...Milosovic seemed duped by the U.S. - his country and people were being
slowly swallowed up by over-birthing albanians(who DO have their own
country). they were doing a gradual, hostile takeover. Milosovic told them
to get out or else. they did not heed his warning so he started his
retaliatory attack. For the USA, if we fought against him, we would have
the option of placing a military base in the midst of a very crucial
area...a peerless jump-off point for any of the surrounding areas -
including the mid-east. talk to someone from the area regarding the
albanians and what sort of activities they made habit prior to being
declared unwelcome.

Then, according to your logic, if Germany had not attacked other nations, it

Sorry, but I must strenuously disagree, on himanitarian grounds.
Murdered people matter. to them, to their families and friends, and to the
people who either act to stop such slaughter or whose inaction enables and
facilitates it.
When a country is hijacked by a murderous totalitarian despot, the rest of
the civilized world has a humanitarian duty to end that despot's slaughter
of the citizens under his control, and he should not be able to hide behind
national sovereignty and noninterference in his country's internal affairs
while he pursues his dirty filthy wetwork.
And what Rumsfeld and Bush said was not that the Iraqi WMD threat was
imminent at that precise time; what was said is that we dare not wait again
until we are certain that such a threat is imminent, because a mistaken
estimation can lead to threats developing to the point of mass slaughter
before we take any action at all; you see, we tried that failed theory
before, with disastrous results, in New York City, and may end up paying
most catastrophically for not preventing such a threat to develop in a
now-nuclear North Korea.

Over birthing attack? Sorry, but that's a really sick analysis.
If your proud enough of your genes, and you have the ability to feed and clothe a child, then go ahead and make babies.
I'm fed up with intellectuals and creative people, BTW, who don't have kids or who accuse other of having too many.
If intellectuals don't breed, then what the heck are we “naturally selecting for”??

....i dont think the case can be made that albanians can properly take care
of 10 kids...considering that they had to move into another nation with a
very low birthrate to do so. and i dont think these particular albanians
were exactly the cream of the genetic crop. when "ability" to care for a
litter of kids means forcing others to pick up the slack....then i have the
ability to buy a new car...please forward me your credit card information.
...btw, Erik...are you suggesting that expanding our world population is a
good thing?

I don't think you can force anyomne to take care of you kids, BTW. Beg maybe, but not force. The nature of “caring and nurturing” issuch that forced caring would be an oxymoron.
And, I think more intellectuals and artists should be having kids and investing in global education... instead of complaining that “uneducated people have too many”

....i would guess that the reason that "intellectuals and artists" make such
pleasant additions to society is BECAUSE they received a relatively high
degree of parental focus, attention, nurturing etc.
...this is not something easily done when one has many children. in
addition, to effectively change things via this route, these people would
have to have twice as many children for a sustained amount of time to even
come close to making up 10% of the population. so it's pretty much an
impossible solution to anything.
