...do you think the bush empire will risk civil unrest and try to reinstate
the draft? i sometimes wonder if the young monkey bush is going to be the
one that bursts the bullshit bubble these people have been working under for
the past decades. he's just way too reckless and forceful - no more flying
under the radar for them. all the while the one shining point of light
these days is the internet. how long before the power-mongers that be
realize this? what will they aspire to do? it's a global thing, how much
could they screw with it?

One would hope. He's certainly done a good job appeasing his neo con
brethren with the invasion of Iraq, his hunt for Al Qaeda, facilitating
better international trade with his implementing trade tariffs that have
been deemed illegal by the WTO, plus his preferred method of wagering that
the US can sustain itself economically while running astronomical deficits.
Ah, this reminds me of the Reagan years. Oh joy!
