In a world gone mad

A new Beastie Boys track was recently released as a free download. The song is to appear on their upcoming release. But, the boys felt it was important to release the track now considering what's occurring in the world today.
Taken from http://www.beastieboys.com
"We felt it was important to comment on where the US appears to be heading now. A war in Iraq will not resolve our problems. It can only result in the deaths of many innocent civilians and US troops. If we are truly striving for safety, we need to build friendships, not try to bully the rest of the world." - Adam Yauch
"Being together, writing and recording, we felt it would be irresponsible not to address what’s going on in the world while the events are still current. It didn’t make sense to us to wait until the entire record was finished to release this song." - Mike D
"This song is not an anti-American or pro-Saddam Hussein statement. This is a statement against an unjustified war." - Adam Horovitz
New song "In A World Gone Mad..." available for free download below. See the links below for more information about how to get involved.

[Dees] I personally would like to see Chrissie's good friend Sheryl Crow play a Baghdad concert with 'NO FREEDOM" embroidered on her guitar strap.
[Hermit] Sounds as if Dees' hypothec would be more at home in George "There ought to be limits to freedom*." Bush's America. Ah yes. She is. And it is.

With or without religion, you would have good people doing good things and evil people doing evil things. But for good people to do evil things, that takes religion. - Steven Weinberg, 1999

Still comprehension impaired?
You didn't talk about "human rights" you talked about "FREEDOM." I suspect that you will have great difficulty convincing anyone sane that the freedoms the world has lost in the last 3 years owe vastly more to Dubya than to Saddam Hussein for the simple reason that Saddam Hussein has very limited control over a tiny geographic area, while Bush's ability to "limit freedom" is global. And it would seem that Dubya is impelled to implement his "ought".
