By the way, it didn't guess "condom" although it did ask if it is flexible, if it goes inside other things, and if it is found in churches. In fact, its first wrong guess was "chewing gum".

i gave it the abstract idea of "Nothing" to gues at:
it didn't win, but it had some interesting things to say to me about
how i (how else can i interpret it?) wasn't playing fair:

way of telling me, no...i was wrong, he was right...he just let me
win because i cheated..

I forget what the whole course of the dialogue was, but It wound up
getting stumped. I was thinking of guilt :]
AIs are so fun to play with :]

First I tried benzene. AI finally guessed hydrogen.
Next I treid nail clippers. The AI got it.
Finally I tried a coffee pot, and it failed that one, guessing trashcan. I went on letting it keep asking questions on that one. Finally at the 28th question it got coffee pot. That one surprised me at how long it took.

addendum: I also tried ladybug, and it got that pretty quickly. The last one I tried was a chant. It finally told me that it wasn't in it's knowledge database, but I thought that "magic" was a very good guess considering that magic often involves chanting, so even though it "lost" I think it did almost as well as one could hope for something that wasn't in the database. the following is what it guessed.

That reminded of the old party game where someone thinks of a weird story and the rest try to figure it out by asking questions and getting yes/no answers.
There was a story where someone died of a heart attack while returning to his village from the city. The questions went like this:
Did something happen? Yes.
Did he see something? No
Did he hear something? No
Did he smell something? No
Did he taste something? No
Did he touch something? No
Did he remember something? No
... What the hell?
The trick was that seeing nothing was disturbing for him in the context of the story.
