Now, I know that he might really not want that, but for the argument let's play make believe. Make believe that I got a chance to talk to Mr. Rogers before he died, and to cut to the chase he told me that he really didn't care one way or another if somebody cloned him. He doesn't promote this, but he doesn't care to prevent someone from it either, and so at my request he gives me a few swabs of Mr. Rogers' DNA. He then tells me he likes me just the way I am, and I return the sentiment.
Fade slowly out. Fade slowly back in the year 2008. Cloning is here. Though some technical issues needed tinkering with, the breakthrough for human cloning proved relatively easy, and now some cloned babies are living as surprisingly healthy well adjusted three to four year olds. Initial tests on Mr. Roger's DNA portend its developmental viability. What is the ethically responsible Virian thing to do?
Love,
-Jake

[Jake Sapiens] Fade slowly out.
[rhinoceros] Why, let them be, of course. What would the problem be that we would have to address in a Virian way?
Sure, we could tell them that someone with the same genes had been successful at something, just in case they care.
