Hello. I'm wondering what the logic behind virus is. If it's purpose is to promote survival of the human species, as I get the impression it is, then what is the logic behind this goal? Does virus deem things 'bad' or 'good'? If not, then why does it choose one position for matter to be in (i.e. as part of a human) over another (i.e. as part of something else, or as part of nothing). Sorry if my question has been answered on the main site. Thanks for your time.

The purpose is to create a memeplex that gives meaning to the live's of the hosts (us). If that also promotes the survival of the human species, then that is a bonus.
