Any meme predicting that the end-of-the-world-as-we-know-it is at hand. Examples of this meme include the catastrophic events predicted for the year 2000, the "battle of Armageddon", the "Rapture", the "thousand-year reign of Jesus", etc. The "Imminent New Age" meme is simply a pan-denominational version of this.
