While seeking our approbation for his "noble self-sacrifice", Joe McPees described his mother as suffering from dementia. I paraphrased this when I referred to his drooling mother as his "maternal nutcase." Joe didn't even realize that there was an "insult" to take umbrage from, until our sweet, ever smiling Casey caught, as he usually does, the wrong end of the stick, and pointed it out to the insult recognition challenged Joe McPees.
Is Joe really suggesting that he imagines that there is a substantive difference between dementia and nut cases? In which case, perhaps he needs a refresher.
