Better than vaporization of our cities - which would also royally and
regally screw Wall Street and the Dow/NASDAQ/S&P indexes. I don't
see Israel as a nation interested in helping the selfsame Iran (whose
hardline Ayatolluh Khameini has repeatedly called for the destruction of
Israel) that just allowed Imad Mugniyeh to try to ship 50 tons of
weapons to the PA. I suspect private profiteers were involved, and that
they'll pay a heavy price. The US would love to have a less-than-
acrimonious relationship with a Khatami-led Iran, and is hoping that the
budding democratic movement there will break the hammerlock that the
hard-line clerics have on the country. It has also made statements to
that effect. But as long as the Kameini-led clerics wield the real power
there, the US is unlikely to do anything that might assist in proping up
their totalitarian theocratic regime, and is unlikely to countenance Israel
doing so, either (such action would (understatement alert here) also not
be in Israel's best interests).
