Well, we certainly don't want to see the mistake of once again failing to
decisively deal with a significant terror threat to the US, as happened
with Al Quaeda, result in much greater catastrophe than 9/11, as could
easily happen if we fail to decisively deal with Saddam Hussein. At
least most of us don't.
