You know what would really prove wise of neo-paganism? Make no excuses for
their various historical mythologies, especially ones old enough for everyone
who would know better to have died long ago. Yes, yes, I know those pesky
archeologists and historians will claim to know better, but so what?
Mythology is mythology, and if recognized as such whether mine or someone
else's, serves mnemonic purposes, and as long as those remain oriented in a
constructive direction, the mythology has done its work whether I believe it
factually accurate or not.
