I think I don't contribute enough to message boards. I read and observe
and study and examine and ponder and sometimes ignore so much of what
other people have to say. The result seems to be that I'm learning to
recognize many styles of speech and patterns of arguments that come up.
I'm learning to decently sort out the meaning from the mess.
But I never make comments myself, the result being I don't write as well
as I would with practice. Is there a reason to make aimless comments
other than to practice? Is it just fun to talk with people? I'm
wondering what purpose sparing back and forth holds. I am missing
something?
