I'm not sure if the last line was meant in jest (sarcasm, specifically),
but it certainly seems to contradict the previous sentiment. I personally
think that nobody should be protected from the effects of their own
stupidity -- and that therefore any laws which attempt to protect us from
ourselves (e.g. drug laws, anti-suicide laws[1], etc.) are clearly
misguided.

On of my favorite television quotes is from South Park, the drug abuse
episode: "there is a time and a place for everything, young man, and it's
called college!"

[1] I can hardly believe that attempting to kill yourself is a criminal
offence in Canada -- what da fuck?
