No. That is a sentence. A meme is any outside event that, when
observed by an information replicating device, causes said device
to alter outside behavior in such a way that another device could
possibly follow the steps taken by the first device, and so continue
the flow of information.

There are many mind events that are not, by definition, memes. They
are still events, and must be taken into account when developing a
theory of mind. The study of memes is most useful (IMHO) when
the idea of meme-complexes is engaged. This idea helps explain many
aspects of human culture.

The questions raised by human culture have, traditinally, been answered
by 'religions'. I see the Church of Virus as the first religion that
answeres
more questions than it raises. And those questions that it does raise, such
as the physical location of memes, can either be answered by a more accurate
question or (hopefully) higher technology and brain scanning equipment.

I've heard of the Morphogenetic Resonance theory, from Terence
McKenna. This might not be the same theory that you refer to. I do
not put scientific faith in MR theory, and use it solely to blame others
for stealing my ideas before I can get them into production.
