Hi everyone. I'm new to the list so I was going to say forgive me if
I'm out of place here -- but on second thought I don't think I will.
"One thousand years were wasted" is a bit of an overstatement and even
erroneous if I must say.
Or are we simply going to stick our heads in the sand. Some of the
greatest works of all time would have to include examples from all
periods of Gothic Architecture and many works of art from the Early
Renaissance. Not only do these fall into that time period but they
were commisioned by religious figures! Far from wasteful!
