I'm saying that (I think) eventually a genetic improvement program will
become *necessary* -- that, since we have eliminated "natural selection"
(ala Darwin), we may have to implement "human selection" (ala Hitler) in
order to avoid irreparable degradation of our genes... Fortunately, there
will soon be better ways to do it than Hitler had at his disposal.
On the other hand, I'l also thinking about the role that beauty plays in
the mating process amoung humans... this could be a powerful tool to avoid
a nasty genetic fate.
