Again, my p.o.v. is that eventually, the genetic damage will overcome even
the best that healthcare can do -- thus necessitating either
a) wholesale collapse of the civilization -- and the resultant death of
nearly everyone, since they depended so critically on organized healthcare.
or b) the *unavoidable* use of genetic engineering on (future) humans.
I am not sure where the default position rests in this case -- you seem to
be optimistic that healthcare will cure any and all possible defects; while
I think there are limits to what we can "cure". As always, I think it's
better to attack the source rather than treat the symptoms.
