Only that behavior is not an object capable of dissection, and finding
patterns in it is useful only to make pretty pictures- as far as getting
to a 'meme' is concerned.
And it ain't my position- it is, as far as I can ascertain, Wilson's as
well. His remark about leaving the ships of much of 'humanistic' science
'scuttled and burning on the shore' is apt, cogent, pithy, and just
goddamn right. We need to move elsewhere.
