And exactly where do the statements and writings of a 19th century preacher fit
into either of these two methods of knowing? Have you heard all this stuff
about not drinking and temple marriage and Jesus directly from God or are you
taking Joseph Smith's word for it? I have a book in my room called The Star
Trek: The Next Generation Technical Manuel which talks about the technology seen
in the show as if it were fact. If I got a copy of this without the director's
note and footnotes on actors and so forth, should I believe it?
