What I've worried about is that all these artifacts that various gods are sending
down, not to mention the water from all the floods, will absorb the Earth's angular
momentum. This would cause the days to become longer, until eventually the Earth was
locked in place around the Sun like the Moon is around the Earth. Eventually, one
side of the world would freeze while the other boiled. I certainly hope that future
dieties merely speak to their prophets. On the other hand, longer days will answer my
prayers of more time to study for and take my upcoming finals :)
