I think a common misconception about Mormonism is that it is an offshoot of
Judaism or
that it is a protestant religon.
In fact, Mormonism is the restored gospel of Jesus Christ. Yes, Jesus
Christ was a Jew but did not
practice the customs after he began his ministry in his 30's. Jesus
Christ's church (as outlined
in the New Testament of the Bible) was completely restored to the Earth when
Joseph Smith
translated the Book of Mormon in the 1830's and thereby organized the church
once again on the
earth.
Mormons are good people and many people believe that by living some of their
standards (refraining
from Drugs, alcohol, cigarettes, rated r or x movies, pornography, etc etc)
makes this world a better
place. If only people could live that way. They don't have to embrace
Mormonism...just the values
and morals they represent.
