But (maybe) it is not genetic but simply sociobiological or even purely
psychological.
Have you read book by Darryl Reanney titled "The Death of Forever - A New
Future for Human Consciousness"? It is about psychobiological 'need for
speed', where speed is something making life worth living. Author suggests
that the reason why man create religions is as simple as that they want to
explain the must of death.
This book's thesis are especially close to mine, I was very, very angry when
I read it, since I was pretty sure it was my conception. The subscribers of
our biggest religion-adressed NG knew this conception as mine long ago
before I have read "The Death of Forever..". Anyway, very worthwhile
reading.
