The whole issue is interesting in terms of examining what makes each of us
adopt Meme 1, 2, or 3, and what makes us, as a group, reach (or not) a
consensus.
Is it logic that makes a meme to take hold? Or is it emotional components,
such as wanting to believe that the internet is an 'honest' means of
communication and that Brett's post last night really came from a person
called Brett who lives in Indiana and who had a rough day yesterday with
family problems? Is suspending judgment, required by Meme 3, something
that we can easily do?
