Yes, but if one were to chart the S-curve of the rate at which the numbers
are rising in any given sample over time (like, oh, say... the rate of
increase in traffic on a mailing list... such as this one, for instance,...
that the <Y2K> meme might be getting), and I think you will find that the
projected curve reaches the critical mass for a rapid exponental growth at a
point in time just right for a great New Years Eve, 1999 party.
