That teaser about the Word of God and all that nonsense is what scares me the
most. Go down south to one of the more "progressive" cities like Charlotte or
Atlanta and ask the "guy in the street" if the end of the world will be on or
about
Jan 1st, 2000. The answers would terrify you and these answers are not
limited
to the barely literate portion of the population either. I think there is a
one-to-one
correlation to possessing this "doomsday" meme and a strong inclination to
hysteria. That is the scary part.
