I've always found the paradox between mass beliefs( hysteria's) and
empirical data interesting and worthy of some thought. In particular the
fact that our 'roman' calendar has been changed numerous times since its
its inception, and the millennium actually beginning on 12-31-00 rather
than 12-31-99, but _so what_ people believe in the current idea (meme)
of apocalypse or some other kind of event on or about 12-31-99. Since
perception creates or influences reality(ies)....well no conclusion
really, just a thought train leavin' the station...
