Sorry, I can not speak for Christians... I know that Christ was a human being.
He lived at a specific point in time and space and the memes that his life
influenced still have much resonance for many reasons.

I find that interesting. As to diminishing anything... well we humans have a
hard time dealing with anything we can not fit into comfortable patterns. I
know now how far it is from here to Andromeda. That has not diminished the
universe to me... It only makes it grander. But I can only speak personally,
emotionally, and even irrationally.

I have my own illusions. And I suspect that everyone else has theirs.

Perhaps you should "Dog" your "God"!

I know my dog is more godlike than many of the human beings I deal with daily...
