A great analysis.

I also would like to add that a la Moravec's _Mind Children_, a "robot
bush" would essentially be the ultimate physical being. A robot bush
would represent the complete *internalization* of every possible
physical tool into a single physical structure. If it becomes possible
to upload into a nanocomputer on-board such a robot bush (with attendant
control), this would be in essence the supreme platform in terms of
power over the physical universe.
