Incidently, I seem to recall that in _The Language Instinct_, Pinker
mentioned that stroke patients that lost the ability of speech could
still make animal like grunts, and curse. This was developed into the
idea that seperated brain structures were used for dialogs and
interjections. Also, these patients could still sing and harmonize,
indicating that speech, cursing, and singing were three different,
but connected, brain functions.
Has anyone else heard of this?
