And since I'm finally writing something, why not share with you a recent
thought I had.
There's something very comfortable to accept in the immensity of our
atmosphere. You have to initiate monsterous blasts in order to subdue
gravitation and leave Earth, and when you come back you're exposed to
extreme levels of destructing heat. As creatures who spend their days
under opaque blue skies, it's hard for us to internalize the fact that
outside our globe there's a whole universe. I know it sounds like total
crap, but the perception of life of the whole mankind is effected by the
impenetrable skies of our homeworld. Creatures who'll evolve where the
skies are always black and full of stars might have totally different
axioms and views over life just because of that (besides the fact that
they'll have no such thing as air pressure, and presumably no smoking
problems either, since they won't have lungs... ;-) ).
How's that?
Lior.
