Oh, it's just a tense error ;) Prophecy [true or false] tends to do
that; it writes the future as if it were past.

Mythohistorically [minor interpretation]:
1/3 of the angels rebelled between Genesis 1:1 and Genesis 1:2.

Some of these were so impressively corrupt that there were imprisoned
[nearest Greek mythos approximation: in Tarterus] circa an event
well-suited to account for mass quantities of sedimentary rock in
Genesis 6-7. Follow-up to vaguely natural plausibility (starts in
Genesis 12) includes: tertiary documentation of continental
drift, forcing of the current observed tree structure of mitchondria DNA
inheritance [Modern biology's greatest failure to wipe
Judaism/Christianity/Islam off of the map!], and the generation of the
70 core language families deduced today by modern linguistics.

If I ever run across an ultraconservative Christian so uneducated as to
deny continental drift, I will go hyperactive immediately.

The rest of the 1/3 were cast out of Heaven onto Earth in Revelation 12
["And I saw war in Heaven....]
