One is not purposeful and the other purposeless (unless you have
an intentional banana hidden somewhere). Apples and bananas
are the same kinds of things (edible reproductive pods of plants)
which share a process (growing); evolution and innovation are not
(since evolution happens to the organism, and innovation is
concerned with the augmentation), nor do they share a process
(the latter being directed, the former not).
