...they popped out of my noggin, I could probably think up more, but those are the assumptions that have been dominant in the postings of the most ardent advocates of the primacy of science on this list. ...I'd have to cite influence from Neil Postman's "Technopoly", Jeremy Rifkin's "Biosphere Politics" and "Entropy" and most of the other stuff I've been reading lately.
...also the cbc radio series "From Naked Ape to superspecies" [ www.radio.cbc.ca ]
...plus courses placing heavy emphasis on the analysis of bias in scientific reasoning were a component of my degree ...observation, consideration, synthesis... the usual sources.
