That's a great answer because it is difficult to imagine a better or more relevant example of a type II (nonfalsifiable) belieph. First, it is true by definition: if a need changes then it cannot be a "core need". Secondly, if our experience is not consistent with the definition, it must be our perception that was mistaken. An apparent change in core needs is actually a discovery of needs that were there all along.
