Cool. I kinda like it, having read no other Virus poetry <yet> with which to compare it. Though if I may suggest, as an authentic non-expert on anything (thank God!), perhaps tossing in some blatant contradictions and heaps of ambiguity, and *very* carefully weave in some horribly incorrect stuff, so that the intelligent amongst the masses can feel good when they finally realise you're wrong. Feed them their memetic "I get it ... oh my God! I get it *again* Ha! He's wrong and I know why I think I'll tell someone" fix in daily doses.
Make the things swirl forever in the subconscious. Like little Psalms that can be remember and passed on by word-of-mouth. That is where the action is at .. the mouth (and more recently the fingertips). Food, drink, various flavours of smoke, sex and good ideas! What else IS there in life? For it to survive your life-span (or the rest of this minute .. time is relative to how fast you associate. I finally "got it".) it needs to have many faces, to be revealed later on within the mind, where it had better get ahold of some grey matter on the first pitch, otherwise you've blown your load, so to speak. I know nothing about poetry, I just know what I like. I knew nothing about sex the first time either. I've personally only written one, and it was a scary enough process to prevent any further attempts. There are easier ways to get a fix.
Anyway, excuse my ignorant rant (cos that is what it is. Like everyone else I'm just bored and guessing which keystrokes to push next. They all like so alike from up here.) I felt obliged to reply cos the Return Receipt on the orginal got stuck in my Outbox, otherwise I may have forgotten. What the heck happened to Return Receipts in Outlook98? I used them all the time in Outlook97. They're about the only semi safe <from the uninitiated> memetic effectiveness measurment tool out there. Anyone know of a decent patch to get em' back? Or some Microsoft Insiders who can perhaps get me a special version.
