Eric, if you feel separated then I would suggest you get out and communicate more. I don't think that studying people like bugs under glass is going to help you relate and fell more connected. If you want to feel connected, then touch somebody and let them touch you. Of course, that means accepting that what a person says might be as true as what you think...just so that you're clear about what your ultimate purpose is, and how you will most reasonably achieve that end (and have fun along the way, naturally).
