I don't see that faith and trust are very similar. When we're arguing about faith here, the usual issues are:
I think those are the main issues.
The answers:
1. Faith is bad if it leads you away from your life purpose; good otherwise.
2. Scientists may or may not have faith in science. If they think science is
True, they do.
3. It's a difference of degree. Faith is more like not wanting to look at
evidence; the issue is closed in other words. This can be extremely useful
in human ventures such as marriage.
