Hi,

Is it just me, or does it seem like this entire article was addressing
only the symptoms, and not the real cause of this problem? WHY are
people becomming addicted? What is causing them to turn away from RL
and towards fantasy?
I dislike psychology mostly for this reason...
My personal understanding of individuals is that they only do what
interests them most -- that, like TV "addiction", this problem is
merely fabricated by people who think that 10 hours a day of <x> is
too much. Now, if the people themselves are complaining, I can see
it... but then the problem is their will-power, not the computer
itself... if they don't want to play, the off switch is really easy to
reach.
(in short: I think "psychological" addiction is a myth)
