my second is german, i may not be perfectly fluent but i think I'm "proficient". Right now i'm starting swedish.

But I can also speak Spanish somewhat less-than-fluently—oh, and I can write intermediate HTML, but I can’t speak it.

Afrikaans was compulsory at school. The rest is history.

English and Armenian. I understand some Spanish since my mother's side speaks it. I took Latin for 4 years which means I don't know any Latin.

assuming sign language is counted here?

HermitprivateInterestingly I find that unused languages definitely "fade." But new exposure - or use - restores them fast (2-4 weeks on average I find. Does this count as "fluent"?) while new languages are much slower (4-6 months concerted effort) for most languages).

Used to be able to speak French... just kind of faded away with underuse.

But I'm not sure that Afrikaans counts as a proper language. More like a throat infection.
