I thought you might be interested in a couple mods, so I just decided to inform you of these. They can be really helpful.
No cookies mod: This is a mod I just installed on my Yabb SE Forum, it cut down the load time when you login to nearly nothing.
Add HTML: This is a mod we at the ChaosRealms have made. It's nice to be able to use all those great commands that we are all used too. This in itself adds a huge amount of features to the board that should have been added a long time ago. Although this is the cheap and easy way. =d
If you're interested in them I'll attach them to a message on here or e-mail them to you. Which ever you'd perfer. If you want to see my board you can check it out at:
http://chaosrealms.net/yabbse/index.php We warned though... it's a board for all my local friends and such, so the topics posted are not going to be the most mature, or meaningful.

I don't think that will help the load time since the bottlenecks seems to be making database calls, not cookies.

Hmm, that sort of defeats the purpose of the YaBB codes which are designed to protect the BBS from HTML. Or am I missing something?

My forums seemed to bottle neck when trying to load the cookies off of peoples computers. Disabling them not only allows for users with cookies disabled to view the forum, but also does increase load time. Win-win situation.
I re-thought the HTML addition to this board. There are a bit too many people that visit this forum for that. There might be some people out there who would take advantage of the HTML coding to try to mess up the board. But for most every-day YaBB boards, it'd be fine. It doesnt really create that big of a security risk... considering I can actually enable HTML in a single post that I make myself. That is if PHP isn't disabled on your board for the actual posting... which I doubt it is.
