Actually its mostly a report on the oil spill effects on beaches, the stupid humans just happened to be present for it.

I vaguely remember South Padre in the fall of 1980 and having to get a quart of paint thinner to clean the tar/oil off the bottom of my feet after a stroll on the beach. It all just keeps on happening.
